Often referred to as “the big apple”, the letters “NY” take on the shape of an apple to form one cohesive logo for the State of New York. The green leaf has been placed in Deloitte’s green, while the handwritten, custom letters of "NY" form "the big apple". Other iterations of the mark include full black, full white, full green, full red, and a combination of Deloitte’s black and green to align with its iconic brand.

The Helmsman serves as the “survival guide” for U.S. Coast Guard recruits; containing all of the information they should have memorized, a list of everything they can and cannot bring, and the required physical fitness standards they must meet prior to arriving at Training Center Cape May. The booklet was designed with the intention of a recruit being able to easily fit it inside their front pocket so that they could refer back to it while at Basic Training.

ARE YOU READY?
Designed to appear as if they’d be on display promoting your favorite movie in Hollywood, these posters were created to show what a career in U.S. Coast Guard would look like. The fine print at the bottom of each poster details the 11 different missions the U.S. Coast Guard is tasked with every day, while the addition of “Now Steaming” serves as a play on words to “Now Streaming”. These can be found individually framed and hung up in every recruiting office in the country.

This poster, Facebook graphic, Instagram story and limited edition collector’s pin were created in order to drum up interest for visiting the Coast Guard booth at the 2019 SkillsUSA TECHSPO and Career Expo in Louisville, KY. What better way to get millennials buzzing than free stuff? Especially a paddle board and river tube giveaway! At this event, many people trade the pins they receive with one another so I wanted to design this particular one in such a way that it both pulled from Louisville roots and was unique to the Coast Guard — hence the bat (Louisville Slugger) and the trident (sea / water).

be packs is a charitable backpack company aimed at providing African children with a better education and overall, a better life. Taking that into account, I wanted to base my design around the idea of the book being an actual backpack — going as far as adding straps and a hook on the back.

I was tasked with developing a logo that commemorated the 50th anniversary of Prince William Golf Course. Staying within their brand, I placed their signature hat icon on top of the number “50” to achieve this. I went a step further and mocked up ball markers (poker chips), towels, polos, and golf balls to demonstrate the different ways the logo could be implemented on merchandise in their golf shop.

Holidécor makes holidays easier than ever before. This invitation card allows their clients to see what their house could look like during five of the nine offered holidays should they choose to use Holidécor’s services. The Christmas questionnaire asks its clients questions about the different rooms of their houses to determine the best way of going about decorating its interior. The following banner ads play on some of the most famous Christmas songs, while the iPhone app provides Holidécor’s repeating clients with the option to order their décor completely online — forgoing the requirement of a face to face interaction. The app also allows the client to choose from either four pre-made kits or completely custom ones done by them. Holidays have never been easier to enjoy.

“Complete the Circle” is an exciting family-oriented community service project and food drive that brings together more than 1,000 community members from all over the region to benefit neighbors in need. On November 9, 2014, my winning design was recreated as a “living painting” on the Fairfax High School practice field, as hundreds of community members dressed in event shirts “colored” the image and were then photographed from 80 feet above by artist Daniel Dancer of Art for the Sky. All participants were asked to donate $5 for their “Complete the Circle” shirt as well as provide three or more non-perishable food items and/or household necessities to serve as the outer rim of the living painting. Together, we “completed the circle” of giving to provide help and hope to local families and children facing hunger.
